Billy Currington isn't letting his legal troubles keep him from putting out new music.  The country star has a new album on the way.  The ten-track We Are Tonight features Billy's most recent single "Hey Girl" as well as a cover of Jack Johnson's "Banana Pancakes," while Willie Nelson contributes to the song "Hard To Be A Hippie."

Currington says that for the first time in his career he worked with three different producers, which he admits wasn't planned.  But he adds that it was a great experience to be able to bring a different sound to this album, and he's hoping his fans like it as much as he does.

We Are Tonight is due in stores on September 17th.  It will be Currington's first album in three years, following his 2010 release Enjoy Yourself.

In addition to making a new record, Currington is also involved in a legal dispute with Charles Ferrelle, a tour boat captain who claims the singer threatened him when he brought some customers near Billy's home in Tybee Island, Georgia back in April.  Eight days after the incident an arrest warrant was issued for Currington, and he turned himself in to authorities.  He's been free on bond.
