Jason Aldean is teaming up with Major League Baseball to tour stadiums around the country. Making good on the promise of the surprise announcement he's been teasing all week, the country star made the big reveal on ABC's "Good Morning America" Thursday.
Aldean told "GMA's" Robin Roberts that his "Burn It Down Tour" will play about 50 shows when all is said and done. The outing will include Florida Georgia Line and Tyler Farr on select dates, which Aldean says will be announced periodically throughout the year.
Teaming up with Major League Baseball holds a special meaning for Aldean who had aspirations of becoming a professional baseball player before turning his focus to country music. He joked with Roberts that his lack of power behind the bat curtailed his home run dreams.
Aldean's latest CD is nominated for a Grammy for Best Country Album. He's also set to perform at the first ever iHeartRadio Country Festival in Austin Texas in March.
