Exercise Also Helps Relieve Stress

Danish researchers studied patients with heart disease and found that
the ones with a sunny disposition were more inclined to exercise ... and the
more they exercised, the happier, and healthier, they were.

John Higgins, M.D., is a cardiologist with UT Health Science Center in Houston.

"They were significantly more likely to exercise than those who had a negative
attitude," he says of the happy patients.

"Having a positive attitude increases your likelihood to exercise and
also when you exercise you release endorphins and you have less
stress."

Higgins says on top of that, exercise helps the heart condition
and one's health overall.

"Not only do they not need much medication and the less medicine
the less side effects and the better off that they are."

The moral of the story, he says, is says is that exercise is what the body needs ... no matter who you are
