A flash flood watch is in effect from 7PM tonight through noon on Tuesday, the National Weather Service tells 1200 WOAI news.
The watch covers the entire Austin, San Antonio metro area.
The NWS says it does not expect 'devastating' flooding, but it says the current system could bring 2 to 3 inches of rain, with the possibility of 5 inches in scattered areas.
It says low water crossings and small steams may be flooded tonight and Tuesday morning.
