Flights into and out of San Antonio International Airport had to be halted this morning after a man who was running from police hopped a fence and ran onto a taxiway, 1200 WOAI news reports.
Shortly after 3AM, a man was involved in a crash on the Wurzbach Parkway not far from the airport.
When police arrives, the man ran away. They chased him toward the airport where he scaled the fence. The FAA ordered planes to keep circling for about fifteen minutes as a police helicopter spotlight finally located the man.
He was arrested. He will face whatever criminal charge he was running from, and may also face federal charges for illegally entering the airport and disrupting aviation.
