"The abundance of blood and therefore swelling in Serge's calf has reduced substantially and unexpectedly, allowing a level of movement and stability not thought possible in the initial diagnosis," Oklahoma City GM Sam Presti said in a statement released to 1200 WOAI news.
Ibaka was thought to be out for the rest of the season after injuring his left calf during the Thunder's victor agaisnt the Clippers in the Western Conference Semi Finals.
“With this new information, and in an effort to keep his status current, we are now listing him as day-to-day with the understanding that there is a possibility for him to play in this series," Presti said.
Many analysts have blamed the absence of Presti for the Spurs dominance in the first two games of the series..
Game Three is Sunday night, with a tip off at 7:30 and pre-game at 7PM on the home of the Spurs, Newsradio 1200 WOAI.
